My Approach

You can expect a playful, science-based approach which includes:

  • Learning about how the brain and body works, so you can better understand what’s happening during those tough parenting moments and respond more effectively.

  • Exploring who your unique child is, so you can tailor your parenting approach and minimize the stress and frustration of “why isn’t this working?!” (aka: what happens when there’s a mismatch between who your child is and your parenting approach).

  • Noticing what you’re doing well, so you can build on your strengths and grow faster.

  • Getting curious about how you show up (your parenting beliefs, emotions, and go-to behaviors), so you can create real change from the inside out.

  • Practicing ideas and strategies in a supportive and fun way, so you can create new parenting habits and grow your confidence (ex: working through “parenting scenes,” role playing, playing games, using props to make ideas come alive).

  • Sharing your parenting oopses and wins in a safe, caring space. Oopses transform to learning opportunities. Wins are celebrated. You can create the change you’re looking for!

“This experience has given me tools and confidence to help me parent differently from the way I was parented. Working with Dr. Alana Lopez was very encouraging and empowering.”

What I Believe In

I believe you have the power to create positive changes in your family.

I believe in encouragement, support, and being real about parenting.

I believe in parenting
on purpose, with purpose,
to create the family life you want.

I believe in helping
you find joy and confidence in everyday,
moment-to-moment parenting.

I believe you can turn an “Oops!” into an “Aha!” moment.

I believe you can
shift from triggered to transformed.

I believe parenting is a journey of self-awareness, discovery, and growth.

I believe you can create new parenting habits to shape the next generation.

I believe you can go from “What am I doing?” to “I got this.”

I believe in making parenting science and research
actionable for your family.

We shape generations through relationships. How are we going to show up?
